Service Updates

It's Time for Medicare Annual Enrollment! - It's Time for Medicare Open Enrollment! - January 1 - March 31, 2010.  For beneficiaries enrolling into Medicare Advantage (MA) plans only, they can make one change in enrollment -- enrolling in a new plan, changing plans or disenrolling from a plan.  However, the Medicare Advantage open enrollment period cannot be used to start or stop Medicare drug coverage.  This is also the timeframe to enroll for Part B coverage if you declined coverage when you first became Medicare eligible.  Call Care Directions® for more information today!

ADAP CHANGES - As of July 1, 2009, Anti-Retroviral (ARV) and Opportunistic Infections (OI) HIV medications became the only prescriptions available through ADAP.  Several reasons prompted this change. There was a cut in funding, an increase in the cost of services, and an increase in enrollment of new clients.

There are many other important drugs that are no longer available from ADAP.  Please click the link below for options on obtaining these other drugs.  You can also contact a case manager at Care Directions if you need additional assistance in figuring out how to obtain your medications.
